Client Service Representative
About the role
Join Androscoggin Bank as a Client Service Representative at the South Paris branch. In this full-time (40 hours/week) position, you’ll be the face of the bank, delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships. After comprehensive training, you’ll handle teller functions, open new accounts, process transactions, and identify opportunities to refer clients to specialized banking services like mortgages, commercial loans, and investments.
Responsibilities
- Receive checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, examine endorsements, and enter transactions into bank records.
- Process loan payments (e.g., mortgage and installment) accurately, including late charges when applicable.
- Cash checks and disburse funds from savings/checking accounts after verifying signatures and balances.
- Inspect checks, bonds, money orders, and withdrawals for negotiability.
- Document client interactions, calls, and activities using the Client Relationship Management System.
- Develop skills for additional duties, including:
- Opening checking/savings accounts and safe deposit boxes.
- Managing vault cash and ATM/TCR processing.
- Processing check re-orders, cash advances, and selling bank checks/money orders.
- Understand client financial needs and provide solutions-based service, including product recommendations and sales.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of customer service experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize with high accuracy.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn teller software.
- Sales orientation and ability to identify customer needs and close sales.
No prior banking experience required; advanced placement available for experienced candidates.

Pay
Intended hiring range: $21–$22 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
