Responsibilities
- Work as a Client Service Representative for the Minot Ave. branch, interacting with clients and helping them with their banking and financial needs.
- Display exceptional customer service to everyone that comes through our doors.
- Complete teller functions, opening new checking and savings accounts/services, and handling moderately complex transactions professionally and accurately.
- Understand the financial needs of clients, and provide outstanding solutions-based service.
- Create strong relationships with clients enabling personalized service, including recognizing other financial service needs such as mortgages, commercial loans and investment services, and referring those customers to appropriate banking specialists.
- Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verify deposit amounts, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enter transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal.
- Process payments for such loans as mortgage and installment, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected.
- Cash checks and pay money from savings and checking accounts upon verifications of signatures and client account balances. Inspect all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, etc. to determine their negotiability.
- Effectively use Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents and activities.
- Develop skills for any of the following duties: opening checking and savings accounts; controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a customer service role.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software.
- Desire and ability to learn many products/services and thoroughly explain their features and benefits.
- Able to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.
