Responsibilities
- Interact with clients and help them with their banking and financial needs.
- Work as a Client Service Representative for the Rt. 4, Turner branch, performing teller functions, opening new accounts/services, and handling moderately complex transactions professionally and accurately.
- Understand the financial needs of clients and provide outstanding solutions-based service.
- Create strong relationships with clients to enable personalized service, including recognizing other financial service needs such as mortgages, commercial loans, and investment services, and referring those customers to appropriate banking specialists.
- Receive checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enter transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal.
- Process payments for loans like mortgages and installment loans, ensuring payments equal the amount due and collecting any late charges.
- Cash checks and pay money from savings and checking accounts upon verifying signatures and client account balances.
- Inspect all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, etc., to determine their negotiability.
- Use Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents, and activities.
- Develop skills for any of the following duties: opening checking and savings accounts; controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a customer service role.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Proficient in using computers and able to learn teller processing software.
- Able to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services, and close the sale.
