About the role

The Client Security Principal (CSP) is a critical role within ePlus, responsible for leading the security business in a specific region. This position requires a strong background in security solutions, with a focus on driving growth and achieving financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the regional vice president (RVP) and services leadership to drive the regional security business, focusing on achieving financial goals, business planning, and regular security forecasting.
  • Align with top strategic accounts to provide security thought leadership and close strategic customer opportunities.
  • Coach and position field teams for hyper-growth in the security segment, ensuring alignment with the services contribution strategy.
  • Perform customer-facing security sales and presales, improving account penetration and pipeline development.
  • Operate strategically within the territory, showcasing executive-level presence and business acumen, and providing thought leadership across ePlus's security product and service portfolio.
  • Leverage expertise in various security domains to provide solutions and support.
  • Contribute to ePlus's intellectual property, strategy, and roadmap, and participate in public speaking engagements.
  • Coach and mentor solutions architects to develop and mature their skills.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and leadership to implement a "security everywhere" approach and coordinate demand generation campaigns.
  • Support joint account and territory planning with key security OEMs and services partners.
  • Develop and execute joint marketing plans and enablement activities for the security team.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and meet or exceed financial growth targets for security product and services sales.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience selling and positioning Security solutions.
  • Proven success selling solutions at the CXO and VP levels.
  • Preferred CISSP certification.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally to company meetings and events.
  • Knowledge and experience selling Security products and services.
  • Previous success in designing, developing, and implementing IT solutions within the security discipline.
  • Ability to conduct executive-level dialogue and presentations.
  • Experience in managing and executing a territory business plan.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a matrix-managed environment.
  • Field enablement, coaching, and mentoring in Security selling.
  • Proven ability to leverage subject matter experts to further the sales process.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Management, Computer Science or Engineering field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience selling and positioning Security solutions.
  • Proven success selling solutions at the CXO and VP level.
  • CISSP certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory, as well as occasional national travel to company meetings and events.
  • Knowledge and experience selling Security products and services.
  • Previous success in designing, developing, and implementing IT solutions within the security discipline.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to competently discuss, plan, and support deployment efforts around IT solutions using five or more of the following domains:
    • Network Security
    • Advanced Threats
    • Cloud Security
    • Data Protection and Privacy
    • Security Operations and Analysis
    • Endpoint Security
    • Application Security
  • Ability to conduct executive level (CISO, CIO) dialogue and presentations.
  • Marketing program execution and follow-up.
  • Building and executing on a territory business plan.
  • Account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and opportunity pursuit.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a matrix managed environment.
  • Field enablement, coaching, and mentoring in Security selling.
  • Proven ability to leverage subject matter experts to further the sales process.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.
