About the role
Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, seeks a Scheduler to join its team. This position is responsible for the scheduling and optimization of service work, ensuring all customer commitments are met.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for scheduling and dispatching field labor force to meet customer requests and expectations based on urgency, contractual obligations, available resources, and customer needs.
- Handles emergency dispatching of engineers, modifies current dispatching schedules, and performs long-term planning to distribute dispatching evenly.
- Utilizes an AI Scheduling Platform (SEDU) to create technician schedules, identify changes, updates, and maintain daily technician activities.
- Communicates and resolves issues with customers and personnel regarding scheduling of service repair work.
- Alerts leadership of potential problems resulting from customer or field complaints and works to resolve them.
- Maintains branch activity and compliance with program initiatives, identifies areas needing improvement, and develops and implements action plans with branch/region management.
- Maintains monitoring of technician activity and schedules to ensure customer commitments are met, communicates status changes to customers, and reassigns work as necessary to manage customer expectations.

Requirements
- 2 years customer service experience
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment (or prior work in a JCI District Office, preferred)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Prior experience coordinating/scheduling in a service-related industry
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Use of Oracle systems preferred
- Product knowledge of life safety (Fire Alarm & Sprinkler) equipment preferred

Pay
Hiring hourly range: $24-30 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
