About the role

The Client Project Manager will own and execute critical projects in support of Paylocity’s largest, most complex, and highest-revenue clients. This fully remote position requires you to work from a U.S. location within the Central Time Zone to support Central clients. The role involves a combination of project management, product and system understanding, and client-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage projects using Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, and Taskray.
  • Define project scope, develop project plans, and track and report on progress.
  • Understand typical client business challenges and map Paylocity features/benefits to address these needs.
  • Resolve operational issues impacting regular Paylocity system usage on behalf of the client.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to accomplish projects in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with Sales, Client Services, and other Paylocity divisions to drive client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Client Services Manager, Account Manager, and Client Service Director to ensure major project objectives are clear, roles are assigned, and timelines are met.
  • Report ongoing progress to the client’s senior leadership.
  • Assist with the quarterly business review process for each client.
  • Identify roadblocks on projects and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify HR, Finance, and/or IT opportunities and efficiencies solvable with Paylocity products or HCM solutions.
  • Serve as a client advocate by representing their needs and providing feedback to internal teams on preferences, feature requests, and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, product, and process improvement.
  • Lead client calls to report on project task deliverables.
  • Travel to client sites up to 25%.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to HR, payroll, and benefits administration, sharing insights with clients.
  • Perform other duties as designated by the Client Services Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience required.
  • 5-7 years of project management or technical account management experience.
  • Previous client services and client-facing experience.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Previous HCM or payroll service bureau experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and frequently change priorities.
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, etc.).
  • Proven system knowledge of the majority of Paylocity’s HCM suite preferred.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent soft skills to interact with C-Level executives.
  • Previous experience with product training and instructional design preferred.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without authority to complete deliverables.

Physical Responsibilities

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (7-8 hours per day).
  • Use of computer and phone systems, including operating multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $71,500 - $102,200 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance.

Schedule

This is a fully remote position requiring availability five days per week during designated work hours. You must be located in the Central Time Zone to support Central clients. The work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance, including potential adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations.
