About the Role
The Client Partner is the end-to-end account owner responsible for overall account P&L and senior client relationships in the Banking & Financial Services sector. This role drives profitable growth, shapes thought leadership, and ensures customer satisfaction while leading diverse teams in a global service delivery model.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitable growth through identifying and leading all aspects of the closure of new, renewal, and expansion opportunities.
- Develop client engagement strategies and quantify costs of pursuit.
- Lead accountability against measurable revenue/profit growth within set timelines.
- Review account metrics with delivery, operations, and finance teams on a regular basis.
- Participate in senior management reviews for performance metrics of the account.
- Collaborate with multiple service lines, innovation teams, and business teams to formulate and implement business plans at the account level.
- Engage regularly with customer decision-makers and influencers.
- Ensure execution and customer satisfaction across all revenue portfolios.
- Identify and forge partnerships, leveraging existing alliances to grow the account.
- Shape the thought leadership agenda and drive execution of the innovation agenda for the portfolio.
- Increase the visibility of Cognizant in the account relationship and within the industry.
- Lead a client P&L of at least $35–40 million, including reporting and metric assessment.
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years in the domain, in a client-facing or account leadership role within an IT professional services or management consulting firm.
- Experience leading diverse teams and collaborating in a multicultural environment.
- Strong experience with the global service delivery model.
- Bachelor’s degree; MS or MBA preferred.
- In-depth understanding of business problem domains, technology, and services solution domains for the targeted industry vertical.
- Proven track record of leading portfolios ranging from sales, new business development, programs, and existing annuity business.
- Ability to navigate large organizations, work in a multifaceted matrix, and persuade through content and confidence.
- Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with strategic solutions for enterprise-wide business problems.
- Flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical/non-technical audiences.

Pay
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual bonus program and stock awards, based on performance.
