Client Partner - Banking & Financial Services
About the role
CGI is seeking an experienced and high-performing Client Partner with deep Banking and Financial Services domain expertise. This role will focus on growing strategic existing accounts while also helping CGI open and develop new logos within the Banking and Financial Services market. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of account farming, new logo development, consultative selling, CXO relationship management, and large proactive deal origination. Prior experience working with leading financial institutions—particularly with established relationships at senior business and technology executive levels—would be an added advantage. The selected candidate must be based in Metro Boston, Massachusetts, and will leverage relationships within the Massachusetts market while being fully immersed in the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account growth strategies across strategic Banking and Financial Services clients, identifying whitespace opportunities, penetrating new buying centers, and systematically growing revenue, bookings, and qualified pipeline.
- Help CGI identify, penetrate, and establish relationships with new strategic Banking and Financial Services clients by leveraging industry relationships and market knowledge to open doors and develop executive-level connections.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with CXO-level and senior business and technology executives, establishing CGI as a trusted strategic partner by understanding client priorities, challenges, investment agendas, and transformation objectives.
- Originate and shape large strategic opportunities proactively, engaging executives early to identify business and technology transformation opportunities, develop compelling propositions, and convert them into significant deals.
- Leverage strong domain knowledge of Banking and Financial Services, using industry trends, competitive insights, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to create meaningful executive conversations and new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline across both existing accounts and new logos, leading strategic pursuits from opportunity identification through solution shaping, commercial development, negotiation, and closure.
- Collaborate with CGI business leaders, solution architects, SMEs, delivery teams, and partners to develop differentiated propositions addressing complex client business and technology challenges.
- Bring the best of CGI to clients by connecting capabilities across consulting, managed services, digital transformation, data and AI, cloud, cybersecurity, application modernization, and CGI intellectual property.

- Strong existing relationships across the Banking and Financial Services ecosystem, with demonstrated ability to gain access to senior decision-makers and CXO stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain CXO-level relationships and become a trusted advisor to senior client executives.
- Strong track record of proactively originating, shaping, and closing large and complex technology, consulting, transformation, and/or managed services deals.
