Client Onboarding Specialist
Responsibilities
Maintain and uphold the highest standards of customer service throughout the onboarding process
Establish and maintain a professional and efficient relationship with allocated customers and internal stakeholders which includes contacting the customer or customer’s representative to obtain additional information or explanation details throughout the underwriting and funding process while coordinating with the Factoring Team Lead, Underwriting Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Legal Manager
Review documentation including bank statements, KYC documentation, lien searches and ensures all files are kept up to date
Provide and update lists of required documentation from prospective clients while escalating any discrepancies, concerns or unusual activity to management
Ensure customer information is input into the system efficiently and with accuracy, with all required checks processed and invoices uploaded prior to cut-off times
Achieve targets and deadlines through effective planning, organization and management of the take on process
Ensure appropriate practices and procedures are followed to uphold standards within the portfolio
Review and propose appropriate credit control systems, best practices, and processes
Support the SVP Team Lead and Underwriting in all aspects of the underwriting process
Represent the interests of the company internally and externally
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years job related experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to critically think and evaluate solutions to complex problems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to seek and gather information from a variety of sources
- Accurate and thorough in all work duties
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
- Meet deadlines and manage expectations
- Competency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel) and Google (Google Mail, Google Docs/Sheets and Google Drive)
- Ability to travel, including overnight
Skills
- Represent Republic both internally and to the external marketplace with professionalism and excellent communication skills throughout the client lifecycle
- Work closely with the Underwriting, Client Services, Legal, and Client Acquisition teams to assist in making informed credit decisions
- Work closely with the Factoring Team Lead, Underwriting Manager, Legal, and Client Services teams to review and assess existing clients for compliance with policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with credit standards for new clients being introduced
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, its client base, and the market to implement effective and competitive credit controls
- Be current with Republic Business Credit’s operating procedures as set out in the Credit Policy, How to Guide, and other business resources

Pay
The hourly compensation rate for this role equates to an annual base salary ranging from $50,000 - $65,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, education/training, and a candidate's work experience.
