Client Office Phlebotomist - Casual

About the role

Patient-focused Phlebotomist responsible for specimen collection, patient care, and lab procedures at a healthcare site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy on diverse patient populations, ensuring specimen integrity and proper labeling.
  • Follow safety protocols, review refrigerator temperatures, and document QC/QA records.
  • Manage specimen processing, documentation, and communication with lab and medical staff.
  • Provide excellent patient interaction, address questions, and ensure safety standards.
  • Complete clerical tasks related to lab specimens, including faxing, filing, and result release.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to organizational policies and ethical practices.
  • Participate in team efforts, optimize workflows, and assist with additional site visits as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent; certified or trained in phlebotomy, with at least one year of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, specimen handling, and EMR systems preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
