Responsibilities

  • Own individual revenue goals by building and managing a strong pipeline of net-new consulting opportunities with health systems and health plans across California.
  • Proactively pursue new business: open doors, lead executive-level conversations, and drive complex deals from initial opportunity through solution design, proposal, pricing, negotiation, and close.
  • Lead key accounts as the primary relationship owner and strategic partner, deepening executive-level relationships, expanding work across service lines, and ensuring measurable value and ROI for clients.
  • Develop and execute account plans that balance new client acquisition with growth in existing accounts, while partnering closely with Delivery, Finance, and internal stakeholders to scope, staff, and structure successful engagements.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction; represent Freed at industry events and forums to generate qualified leads, and mentor consultants who are interested in building their sales and client development skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in business development for healthcare consulting or related professional services, using solution-selling to meet or exceed targets and execute complex, multi-stakeholder contracts.
  • Broad, deep executive relationships across the California healthcare market (health systems and/or health plans), paired with strong healthcare domain expertise for strategic conversations and opportunity spotting.
  • Extensive experience selling consulting or professional services, including communicating, presenting, and influencing credibly with senior leaders and C-suite to frame value, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • High integrity, agility, resilience, and an ownership mindset, with a bias toward action and a strong desire to win for the client, the firm, and yourself.
  • 10+ years in healthcare consulting sales and/or delivery, including at least 5 years in a business development role.
