Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their priorities and long-term objectives.
  • Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, expanding the client pipeline, and positioning Mott MacDonald for sustainable success.
  • Lead bid processes and support project delivery teams, ensuring technical excellence, commercial robustness, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee commercial performance, manage risks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes across client projects.
  • Promote collaborative engagement at all levels of the DEP, strengthening Mott MacDonald’s role as a trusted partner.
  • Exemplify ethical leadership by upholding company values, enforcing zero tolerance for unacceptable behaviors, and proactively managing conflicts of interest.
  • Actively represent Mott MacDonald across the NY market, raising our profile with the DEP and fostering collaboration across the region.
  • Mentor, support, and develop strategically minded professionals, building a strong pipeline of talent in this sector.
  • Serve as a visible leader in the industry by participating in networking events, speaking engagements, and contributing thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • Extensive background in account management, client engagement, and senior stakeholder relationships, ideally with major clients or complex infrastructure programs, particularly with the DEP.
  • Proven success in identifying, developing, and converting business opportunities, with a track record of leading successful bids and growing client accounts.
  • Strong financial management skills, including oversight of commercial outcomes, contract negotiation, risk management, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, and foster collaboration across business units.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for developing and sustaining long-term client relationships built on trust and mutual value.
  • Ability to understand client objectives and position Mott MacDonald's expertise to meet their needs through innovation and thought leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, deliver compelling presentations, and influence stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of the NY market, with current knowledge of trends, regulations, and client challenges.
  • Relevant degrees and professional licensure in engineering, project management, or business (preferred).
  • Strong commitment to ethical behavior, with the ability to proactively manage conflicts of interest and represent Mott MacDonald’s values.
