Client Delivery Senior Director
NTT DATA’s State, Local, and Education Division seeks a Client Delivery Senior Director with deep private cloud delivery leadership, executive client management capability, and a proven record of successfully leading complex IT service delivery programs. This role will provide strategic direction, lead cross-functional delivery teams, and oversee execution for private cloud, infrastructure, and managed services environments supporting public-sector clients.
About the role
This leader will maintain a customer-focused delivery approach, operate with urgency, and prioritize quality, business value, operational reliability, and timely delivery. The role includes directing multiple concurrent solutions, overseeing private cloud service operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and lifecycle standards, and partnering with senior account and customer stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
The Client Delivery Senior Director will report to the COO within NTT DATA and work closely with the overall Account Manager to align delivery execution, account priorities, customer commitments, and service outcomes. The role will also support employee engagement, resource planning, operational governance, documentation, release management, security and accessibility compliance, and executive-level issue resolution.
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – two to three days per week in the NTT DATA office). This role may require travel up to 25% and on-call duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Serve alongside the COO, Account Manager, Senior Account Director, and delivery leadership team to establish private cloud delivery strategy, define operational priorities, strengthen client relationships, and identify opportunities to improve service performance, productivity, and delivery efficiency.
- Provide senior executive-level expertise and technical guidance for major private cloud, infrastructure, managed services, and transformation programs.
- Collaborate across cross-functional organizations to align private cloud operations, delivery workstreams, governance practices, and client-facing service improvement initiatives.
- Partner with finance, account, and delivery teams to manage budgets, resource allocations, operational performance, risk mitigation, and customer commitments.
- Demonstrate executive presence with the ability to engage senior customer stakeholders, lead delivery governance discussions, and resolve complex service delivery issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years of overall IT service delivery, infrastructure, application, or private cloud delivery experience, including responsibility for full lifecycle delivery from planning and design through implementation, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading, managing, and developing technical, delivery, or operations teams in client-facing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Prior experience with large-scale service delivery management and executive-level stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of service level management, incident escalation, operational reporting, customer satisfaction, and continuous service improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical delivery status, risks, and recommendations into executive-ready messages.
- Ability to travel periodically to customer or NTT DATA locations to support account governance, delivery reviews, and executive customer meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven record of successfully delivering private cloud, managed infrastructure, service-oriented architecture, or enterprise platform solutions for large-scale clients.
- Prior experience managing in-house, private cloud, public cloud, hybrid infrastructure, vendor, and partner-delivered services across a large IT services portfolio.
- Project management, ITIL, cloud, infrastructure, security, or service management certifications.
- Experience with large-scale cloud management platforms, private cloud operating models, infrastructure modernization, and managed services delivery.
Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $164,025 - $273,375. Actual compensation will depend on location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
