About the role

The CDE Commercialization Project Manager at Velera is responsible for initiating, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling cross-functional product and technology projects. This role requires strong project management skills and experience in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with Velera's largest business unit leaders, serving as a point of contact between Client Delivery Experience, Product, Sales, and IT.
  • Communicates, develops, commercializes, and operationalizes Velera's products and solutions for clients.
  • Supports and aligns the CDE business unit to meet goals and objectives.
  • Liaises with the product development/lifecycle, managing the project lifecycle to deliver multiple initiatives efficiently.
  • Prioritizes initiatives, negotiates financial and resource commitments, confirms availability, and builds delivery schedules.
  • Architects, designs, prototypes, and develops solutions that enable quality implementation and improve speed of "on-boarding" solutions.
  • Assigns responsibilities to project team members, facilitates meetings and presentations, and defines scope and objectives for complex product releases.
  • Manages implementation of internal initiatives, major and minor system or product enhancements, client solutions, and applicable decommissions.
  • Delivers effective, accurate, and consistent communication to project teams, management, external clients, and vendors.
  • Manages interdependencies and lead times to develop a comprehensive schedule or priority task plan.
  • Oversees completion of project tasks, manages conflicts, clarifies gaps, and escalates risks/issues as needed.
  • Provides technology guidance and clarifies process gaps.
  • Works directly with key internal stakeholders and executives to negotiate, escalate, and resolve issues with priority.
  • Identifies changes that impact scope, cost, or schedule and initiates the appropriate change control and/or change management process.
  • Ensures proper documentation is established, maintained, and stored for policies, processes, and procedures to streamline and optimize client delivery of products and services.
  • Provides timely reporting of project hours, status, performance, risks, and escalations.
  • Applies generally accepted project management methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Utilizes service management resources for understanding and marketing the service portfolio, service catalogue, and service demand.
  • Plans, defines, and manages support strategy around tools and processes.
  • Provides insight into the enterprise service catalogue.
  • Participates in training and develops leadership skills that foster internal growth and advancement.
  • Ensures all duties are performed according to departmental policies, procedures, services levels, and performance standards.
  • Reacts to change productively and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
  • Five (5) years of project management experience required.
  • Three (3) years of implementations and/or technical delivery in the financial services industry required or current contractor resource in the same or equivalent position performing all job requirements.
  • Three (3) years of card processing experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
  • Five (5) years of project management experience required.
  • Three (3) years of implementations and/or technical delivery in the financial services industry required or current contractor resource in the same or equivalent position performing all job requirements.
  • Three (3) years of card processing experience highly preferred.
