About the Role

The Chief Client Office Client Coverage group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join the team. This role entails working closely with seasoned client coverage professionals and partnering with teams such as legal, marketing, and strategy. It offers exposure across all of S&P Global’s divisions and an in-depth understanding of the firm's most strategic customers.

The role supports a team of Account Managers in their business development and management responsibilities, with day-to-day tasks that may vary.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior team members to prepare presentations, reports, and analyses that support external client interactions and strategic discussions.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities within client segments.
  • Prepare and maintain client relationship overviews and account summaries.
  • Support the management of sales pipeline and contracting processes in conjunction with the Transaction Management team.
  • Maintain and update CCO databases and tracking systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Assist in the coordination of team projects and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain current org charts for each strategic account, including key stakeholders and sales specialists.
  • Partner with other functions (e.g., Marketing) and Divisional teams to support the Account Management team with brand and sales efforts.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of work experience, preferably in financial markets or with an information company.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and proactiveness to fulfill and drive ad-hoc team or client initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Self-starter with a creative approach.
  • Experience with Salesforce (beneficial).
  • Previous experience in financial services, financial institutions, or professional services (preferred).

This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.

Pay

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $59,212 to $100,616. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
