Client Care Specialist

About the role

The Client Care Specialist is a mission-driven, direct care position responsible for supporting clients in addiction recovery through compassionate, relational interactions. They provide encouragement, guidance, and oversight of activities, ensuring a safe and orderly environment. The role involves monitoring client behavior, assisting with medication administration, transport, and crisis response, and fostering healthy relationships aligned with trauma-informed and motivational interviewing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support clients on programming floors
• Observe and communicate client needs and behavior
• Maintain safety and environment stability
• Assist with intake/discharges
• Assist with medication administration, transport, and crisis response
• Supervise medication and testing
• Support clients' spiritual growth upon request
• Provide encouragement, guidance, and oversight of activities
• Foster healthy relationships using trauma-informed and motivational interviewing techniques
• Documentation
• Security checks
• Preparing residential spaces
• A designated Charge Staff oversees shift operations, delegating tasks, managing staff, and ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in health, human services, mental health, or working with vulnerable adults preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 21 years old
• One year free from problematic substances
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 30-50lbs
