Client Billing Representative
About the role
The Client Billing Representative supports attorneys and their assistants with all aspects of client billing, including invoice preparation, responding to billing inquiries, and resolving billing issues. This role is responsible for ensuring all client invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, edits and prepares prebills and client bills according to attorney instructions and client billing guidelines.
- Verifies daily billing production.
- Prepares time and billing reports and other ad hoc reports as needed using database software
- Prints and distributes monthly attorney pre-bills and billing-related reports
- Provides training and support to attorneys and assistants for ExpertImage, iTimekeep, Aderant Expert and Prebill Viewer.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and use various third-party billing systems
- Backs up the Client Billing team and fills in during absences, and provides back-up coverage to other areas of Finance as applicable.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Management or Finance required.
- At least three (3) years of applicable work experience in an accounting function preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Law Firm experience strongly preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including tact and diplomacy, and the ability to interact positively with all individuals at all levels of the Firm

- Adaptable to last minute changes and disruptions, and able to accommodate occasional overtime work.

Visual requirements include reading on a computer screen as well as printed materials. A high degree of dexterity is required due to frequent use of a keyboard and telephone. Verbal and auditory requirements include the ability to communicate clearly over the telephone as well as in person. There is a low level of grasping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects of less than 25 lbs.

Pay
The anticipated pay range for this role is $60,000 - $71,000.
