Duties And Responsibilities
- Process new enrollments and terminations
- Aid with carrier billing issues
- Provide detailed answers to clients and employees about group policies and products
- Handle sensitive information with discretion
- Solve claim issues and determine resolutions
- Acquire working knowledge of BMS (Benefit Point)
- Work with carrier websites
- Offer high-quality customer service
- Update client records regularly
- Communicate with carriers for claim or eligibility information
- Answer phones and emails, providing and receiving information
- Input timely and accurate information/documentation in BMS (BenefitPoint)
- Cross-train in various areas
- Assist with special projects, as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements
- Experience: 1-2 years previous work experience related to group health insurance
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree desired, but not required
- Pass a residential state Life & Health insurance exam within 120 days of employment if you do not already have one
- Physical Requirements: Regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; close and distance vision; some travel required by car
- Other Requirements: Valid Driver’s License, dependable transportation, public speaking/language skills, math skills, reasoning ability, computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Power Point; follows guidelines on working in BMS (BenefitPoint) for premium efficiency with your team)
