About the Role
A.L.C Client Advisors are fashion-industry professionals who specialize in styling boutique guests, celebrities, public figures, and high-profile individuals. Stylists curate outfits, select clothing and accessories, and create polished, on-trend looks for events, red-carpet appearances, photo shoots, interviews, public appearances, and everyday life. The role blends creative styling with sales and client relationship-building to deliver exceptional service and drive business success.
Responsibilities
- Sales Performance:
- Achieve and exceed sales and metric goals.
- Use product knowledge and trends to provide relevant styling suggestions.
- Actively engage with customers to build relationships and drive repeat business.
- Maintain knowledge of store key performance metrics and work toward targets.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop action plans and sales strategies.
- Customer Service & Clienteling:
- Exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding service experiences.
- Assist customers by selecting styles based on their needs and preferences.
- Use product knowledge to communicate the collection’s vision and product quality.
- Build and maintain an organized client book to generate appointments and drive sales through consistent outreach and follow-up.
- Proactively reach out to clients based on their preferences and past purchases.
- Sales Floor & Operations:
- Maintain the visual presentation of the store, ensuring VM standards are met.
- Assist in floor sets and replenishment of merchandise as needed.
- Complete opening and closing duties.
- Collaborate with the management team to oversee additional operational tasks.
- Styling & Creative Duties (The A.L.C. Style Seven):
- Clothing Selection: Choose suiting, dresses, separates, and accessories that align with the client’s style, body type, and occasion.
- Fashion Coordination: Create cohesive outfits by coordinating colors, patterns, and textures to achieve a desired aesthetic.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, collections, and releases to keep clients fashionable and ahead of the curve.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team and management to reinforce outfits and accessories for clients’ appearances.
- Fitting: Ensure garments fit ideally or coordinate with seamstresses as needed.
- Accessorizing: Select handbags, jewelry, and other accessories to complement the overall look and add layering.
- Red Carpet & Event Styling: Prepare clients for high-profile events such as award shows, premieres, and weddings, ensuring they make a memorable and fashionable impact.
- Other duties as assigned.
Stylists act as fashion consultants, confidants, and creative partners, helping clients build and evolve their personal style through clothing and image choices. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of fashion, a keen eye for trends, strong networking skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse personalities and preferences.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail role, preferably with a fashion luxury or contemporary brand.
- Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including retail point-of-sale systems, Excel, and Word.
- Organizational skills and an eye for detail.
- A positive, high-energy, entrepreneurial spirit.
- A team player who is inspired by others’ successes as well as their own.
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
