About the Role

This position focuses on building strong customer relationships and delivering banking solutions while ensuring operational excellence within the branch.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain customer relationships by preparing for interactions, asking open and closed-ended questions to understand financial goals, and matching needs to Seacoast Bank products and services.
  • Confidently explain and sell bank products, close sales, and ask for referrals from new and existing customers.
  • Exhibit strong listening skills and communicate clearly in all customer interactions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with customer-facing technology, including enrolling customers in self-service products and processes.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and escalate complex financial matters to appropriate personnel.
  • Balance business needs with customer requests while managing potential risk to the bank.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and embrace new technology to foster innovation.
  • Participate in community, charitable, or civic events and deliver presentations on banking products/services at networking events.
  • Collaborate with branch and organizational associates to develop trusting and cooperative working relationships.
  • Actively pursue NMLS registration status and develop proficiency in consumer deposit and lending products.
  • Develop an introductory understanding of small business deposit and lending products.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in outbound calling and identify referral opportunities with internal business partners.
  • Open and process accounts, perform account maintenance, and handle cash and negotiable instrument transactions while adhering to bank policies, including AML/BSA requirements.
  • Ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA, audit procedures, dual control, security, and business continuity requirements.
  • Review and adhere to branch operational procedures and communicate updates to associates.
  • Follow up on audit deficiencies and balance cash drawer daily with accuracy.
  • Resolve customer objections and problems in a timely and positive manner to retain relationships.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and follow all safety and security procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience.
  • College degree or 1+ years in retail sales and/or financial services experience.
  • Flexible schedule with availability during branch hours, including weekends and occasional non-bank operational hours.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative.
  • Proficiency with PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite.
