Client Accounting Services (CAS) Department Manager

About the role

The Client Accounting Services (CAS) Department Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the CAS department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting and client service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial operations of the CAS department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Manage a team of accountants and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes and services.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.

Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with financial systems and software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Pay

$X per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
