Essential Functions of the Position
- Participates in breastfeeding promotion and support.
- Attend staff and state WIC meetings.
- Translate for the nutritionists and clerks as needed.
- Sets the tone for excellent customer service to participants as they enter the clinic.
- Write pamphlets and newsletters as directed by Director.
- Distributing eWIC cards including activating cards and loading benefits.
- Performing tasks in compliance with Federal Regulations.
- Determine income qualifications for participant eligibility.
- Attend outreach events as appropriate.
- Refers participants to other social services and documents accordingly.
- Informing clients of what will take place during appointment.
- General clerical duties i.e., answering phone and filing.
- Entering client information into computer.
- Reminding clients of benefit pick-up dates and dates of future appointments.
- Referring clients to appropriate agencies for assistance.
- Health screening as necessary.
- Informing clients of future sessions and other appropriate follow up.
- Hand out Farmer’s Market checks.
- Performing all functions as related to ROSIE software system.
- Schedule appointments.
- Printing of reports and other electronic clerical duties.
