About the Role

Service specialist responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of service parts. Works closely with the warehouse supervisor and serves as the customer contact.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders and supplementals; prepare production plan and distribute to production.
  • Calculate monthly Kanban, print and sort daily Kanban, and distribute to the appropriate department.
  • Report daily on-time delivery and verify shipments and ASNs.
  • Coordinate with service Dandori to confirm parts are produced, pulled, and sent to the warehouse.
  • Prepare back-track report daily for management and recovery plan for customers (RDA).
  • Assign and delegate responsibilities to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals.
  • Perform root cause analysis for missed shipments.
  • Collect WIP parts and components from TGTX weekly; schedule component orders.
  • Prepare schedules to run past model parts and follow up.
  • Meet with customers bi-weekly to update recovery plans.
  • Follow up and instruct team members on daily packing tasks.
  • Prepare work instructions and find BOM (Bill of Material) for past model parts from JD Edwards.
  • Coordinate with TGNA IT to resolve computer, printer, or scanner issues at the warehouse.
  • Expedite back-track conditions by coordinating with other departments.
  • Analyze and identify potential cost savings.
  • Provide delivery dates for Vehicle on Road (VOR), back-track, supplemental orders, and Canada orders.
  • Maintain daily inventory tracking at the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Strong background in basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Proficient in data analysis (MS Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Toyota Production System experience beneficial.
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal instruction.
  • Basic understanding of BOM; able to prepare purchase orders.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.
  • Strong math skills—ability to compute rates, ratios, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Strong communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • 50% on the shop/warehouse floor and 50% in an office work environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to off-site warehouses.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and insurance.
