Clerk/Typist
Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Clerk Typist to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. This role is vital to the smooth running of a department, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a multidisciplinary team, including Consultants, and Specialist Nurses.
Main duties of the job
- Liaising with clinical and non-clinical professional staff for the delivery of a high standard of care.
- Dealing with enquiries from patients, relatives and staff.
- Scanning and photocopying.
- Booking appointments.
- Team working.

Qualifications & Education
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs, Level 9 – 4 (A* - C), including English Language, or equivalent level qualification or relevant experience.
- OCR I or equivalent qualification / experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Good IT skills to include office software packages.
- Good keyboard skills and Text Processing ability.
- Good communication skills both written verbal and telephone skills.
