Duties

  • Provide Spanish interpretation services (reading, writing, and speaking) in an office setting for department clients and personnel.
  • Types correspondence, prepare reports, letters and documents.
  • Acts as receptionist as needed.
  • Aid with court and mail run.
  • Offer general support and assistance to staff.
  • Participate in activities and duties related to Emergency Management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Two years job-related work experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Knowledge of general secretarial principles/procedures.
  • Good computer skills and must be able to type.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and deal effectively with the public.
  • Good written communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize own work.
  • Valid Texas Driver License.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
