About the role

Boulder County Social Services is seeking a Computing Specialist I to support users in a Windows environment on various state and county networked applications. The position involves responding to and resolving user technology issues, maintaining network printer connectivity, keeping electronic records updated, creating training documentation, and updating internal SharePoint web pages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of computing assets using various software tools
• Install, configure, maintain, and support various user applications and hardware
• Serve as a technical specialist between third-party vendors and staff
• Provide input on hardware and software system purchases
• Analyze user requirements and assist in recommendations for more effective usage of Department of Social Services software packages
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements

• Requires an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Two years of experience troubleshooting computer systems, including experience with training others

Qualifications

• Experience creating computer-based training using Adobe Captivate
• Previous helpdesk experience and/or experience automating MS Office forms is preferred
• A team player who communicates well in both written and verbal modes and is committed to supplying quality service
