About the role
Reports to the deputy warden, programs. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, systems and procedures related to programs administration in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), and Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) directives.
Responsibilities
- Performs clerical tasks, systems and procedures related to facility programs.
- Performs data entry with accuracy, and draft correspondences as required.
- Performs duties to include composing reports and letters.
- Proofreads material to verify accuracy or make corrections when needed.
- Maintain accurate records and files, forms and correspondence sent, received and/or requiring further action.
- Aid programs specialist in preparing required reports for contractual compliance.
- Maintain appropriate office supplies for the department.
- Operate office equipment, including computers, fax machine, and copier.
- Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone and convey messages.
- Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
- Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year experience in an education program setting preferred.
- Computer knowledge required.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

$16.00/hr.

Full Time, Monday – Friday, 7AM-3:30PM
