Job Duties
Administers and provides oversight of court operations, which includes planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating court administrative processes and procedures; ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards. Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Evaluates efficiency of the court's administrative functions and investigates procedural changes; prepares recommendations to the court. Administers budget of the court; oversees expenditures and budgetary items ensuring all information is accessible for audit; maintains all records.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in judicial, public, or business administration or a related field; and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in court administration or another business setting, including some supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Knowledge Requirements: Managerial principles; Budgeting principles; Applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations; Report principles and practices; Legal proceedings; Court policies and procedures; Courtroom forms and documents; Customer service principles; Modern office principles and practices; Filing systems; Computers and related software applications.
- Skill Requirements: Monitoring and evaluating staff; Analyzing situations, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of actions, and implementing recommendations; Prioritizing work and multi-tasking; Monitoring budgets; Operating computers and applicable software applications; Writing reports; Providing customer service; Using a computer and related software applications; Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Physical Requirements
Positions in this class work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required, not to exceed 20 LBS

Salary And Compensation
Starting Salary: $60,313.77 annually (Hiring Rate).
Immediate Growth*: Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate).
Starting Rate Flexibility: Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval.
*Please Note: Candidates approved to start above the Hiring Rate (at or above the Minimum Permanent rate) are not eligible for the 2.5% post-probation increase.
Future Increases: Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July 1) are subject to State Legislature approval.
