About the role
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant and outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. Under the direction of the Manager, Inventory Control, this position will assist in keeping an accurate inventory of products, ensuring the system inventory in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) matches the physical inventory stored at the facility.
Responsibilities
- Working with team lead to print and setup daily cycle counts activities
- Able to help resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level
- Update WMS to match physical through various methods as guided
- Research and document root cause of discrepancies and issues
- Audit inbound receipts, both physically and through receipt documentation
- Audit empty locations, both physically and systematically
- Accurately input required data elements into WMS and various other applications
- Update Inventory KPI reports daily
- OT/weekend work, depending on business needs
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by your manager or supervisor
- Participates in Quarterly Cycle Counting process as required
Requirements
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting
- Must have knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook/E-mail
- Basic WMS (Warehouse Management System) knowledge, CIMS and AS400 knowledge is a plus
- Must use handheld computers / scanners
- Operate various material handling equipment, occasionally moving product in warehouse
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
- 1-2 years lead warehouse or related work experience required
- Read, write, understand and speak English fluently; bi-lingual Spanish language skills preferred
- Must have basic math, computer and data entry skills
- Solid command of English, both written and verbal
- Must be a Team Player
