Description of Work

This role provides clerical and secretarial support to Workers' Compensation Judges by preparing case materials, organizing hearing activities, and maintaining accurate records. The work ensures that hearings and case events move efficiently and follow established procedures.

  • Hearing Scheduling: Arrange hearing events and review case information in the WCAIS system
  • Case Preparation: Gather documents, organize files, and prepare courtrooms for in-person or virtual hearings
  • Document Processing: Scan, index, verify, and finalize documents, transcripts, and decisions in WCAIS
  • Correspondence Tasks: Prepare letters, reports, and memorandums while proofreading for accuracy
  • Public Communication: Respond to phone and email inquiries and provide information according to policy
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain diaries, verify reports, and purge closed case files according to procedures

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or one year of moderately complex clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
