Cleared Urdu Analytic Linguists monitor, transcribe, translate, interpret, and analyze source material to assist law‑enforcement investigations into narco‑trafficking, counterfeiting, terrorism, fraud, and money laundering. Responsibilities

• Monitor: Listen to or read foreign language communications and type summaries into English.
• Transcribe: Render spoken words of a language into written form of the same language.
• Translate: Render spoken or written words of one language into written form of another language.
• Interpret: Provide oral translation consecutively or simultaneously from source to target language.
• Analyze: Examine methodically and in detail the constitution of information for explanation and interpretation.

Requirements

• Federal clearance.
• Clear, concise, effective written and spoken communication skills in English and Urdu.
• Ability to summarize and translate audio and text, including slang and colloquialisms, in real time.
• Prior interpreting and/or translating experience in a professional or personal setting.
• Skill to prioritize tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, and text‑message terminology in English and Urdu.
• Typing speed exceeding 40 words per minute.
• Ability to adapt well under pressure and function cohesively in a team environment.
• Availability to work a rotating schedule.
• Must pass writing, reading, listening, and speaking language tests in English and Urdu (or provide prior test results as required by contract).
• Availability to work full‑time locally and to travel out of state for extended periods as required.
• Physical demands: ability to talk, hear, see, sit for extended periods, use hands/fingers to handle keyboards or telephones, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; reasonable accommodation can be made for disabilities.
