About the role
Bestgate Engineering seeks a Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience guiding technical teams, fostering collaboration, and driving Agile processes to deliver value effectively.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
- Leading cross-functional Agile teams, promoting collaboration and removing impediments.
- Coaching teams in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Scrumban, or Kanban, ensuring adherence to processes.
- Collaborating with Product Owners to prioritize features and develop user stories meeting acceptance criteria.
- Maintaining and sharing team metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Promoting a high-performing, collaborative team environment and encouraging innovative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Experience as a Scrum Master for software development or technical teams.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or similar Agile certification.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Rally, or IBM RTC.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across diverse systems and groups.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 8+ years of relevant work experience or a High School Degree and 4 years of additional work experience.
Qualifications
- Preferred background in large software systems, including hardware integration and testing.
- Hands-on experience using SAFe as the Agile development methodology.
- Knowledge of test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Experience applying Kanban for workflow optimization.
- Proven ability to influence organizational change towards Agile adoption.
Skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Scrumban, or Kanban.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
- Experience with large-scale software development projects.
