Cleaning Operative

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at OCS as a Cleaning Operative. You will ensure that train carriages are cleaned from front to back and ready for the next stage of their journey, working at pace and to timetables as part of a team. A good communicator with a can-do attitude is essential to complete work to schedule. You will play a key role in delivering service to our client by maintaining high cleaning standards for rail users.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of washrooms, communal areas, and floor space
• Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and damp wiping
• Litter collection, emptying of bins, and disposal
• Sanitisation of touch points
• Use of cleaning equipment
• Reporting of any equipment faults and health and safety concerns
• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines
• Attending relevant health and safety training
• Completing all training deemed necessary by the company

Requirements

• Can-do, happy-to-help attitude
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Flexible with working hours and days
• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workloads
• Good communication skills
• Right to work in the UK

Qualifications

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in cleaning
• Previous experience of working with members of the public
• Passing GCSE Grades (or equivalent) in English and Maths
