Cleaner (UHI Moray)

About the role

UHI Moray is seeking a suitably experienced Cleaner for a fixed-term position until 29th January 2027. The successful applicant will receive full training on health and safety procedures for cleaning products, commercial cleaning techniques, and operation of machinery. Full onboarding, training, and ongoing support will be provided. The role requires an individual who can manage their own workload, work unsupervised, and collaborate effectively within a team, with a highly motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial cleaning duties across UHI Moray facilities
• Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively
• Follow health and safety procedures for handling and using cleaning products
• Manage own workload and prioritise tasks without direct supervision
• Work collaboratively as part of the cleaning team

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience (suitably experienced individual)
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage own workload
• Strong teamworking skills
• Highly motivated and reliable
• Right to work in the UK (documentation required for pre-employment checks)
• Appropriate PVG Scheme membership or willingness to obtain Disclosure Scotland check

Pay

£26,921 pro rata per annum (£14.79 per hour)

Schedule

• Fixed-term contract until 29th January 2027
• 15 hours per week (0.387 FTE)
• Term-time only
