Core Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all applicable equipment.
• Evaluate surface preparation to assure accuracy and compliance to SSPC Codes.
• Apply coatings to wet mils necessary to achieve the dry mils required by the job specifications.
• Utilize knowledge of different types of coatings and application methods.
• Adhere to and follow Environmental rules and regulations.
• Use grinders, chippers, sanders, and overhead cranes as needed.
• Read and layout work orders or receive instructions from the supervisor regarding cleaning.
• Keep work area organized and clean.
• Perform other routine duties per management direction.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

• Equipment Knowledge & Skills - may include but not limited to hand blasting, machine blasting, sprayer and air compressor.

Education/Training/Work Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3-6 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Knowledge

• Certificates & Licenses - None.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
