Cleaner Lead - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Lead oversees work team(s) and/or areas assigned, ensuring work is performed to Servicon's quality standards and in accordance with clients' Statement of Work.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in on-boarding and training new associates on safety programs, company policies & procedures, proper cleaning procedures/processes, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensures strict compliance with Servicon and client policies and procedures; work performance is based on integrity, professionalism, respect, responsiveness, and urgency.
  • Inspects assigned work area during/after work completion to verify compliance with site-specific procedures, customer scope of work, schedules, and special requests.
  • Verifies that all restrooms, clean rooms, or other logged areas are completed to established quality standards and initialed by the associate who performed the work.
  • Promotes safety culture among team members, including wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work.
  • Proficient in performing all custodial work in accordance with Servicon's cleaning procedures/processes.
  • Assists Supervisor(s) in motivating staff, creating a positive work environment, and reporting issues/problems to management.
  • Resolves custodial problems and periodically reviews work schedules to recommend changes for efficient and cost-effective use of staff time, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensures supplies are available/distributed for easy access, equipment is in good working order, and custodians have the tools to perform their work.
  • Helps inventory, distribute, and monitor utilization of janitorial cleaning materials to ensure efficient and cost-effective use.
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle to pick-up/deliver supplies, perform job duties, and commute to other Servicon job sites.

Requirements

  • 2 years of custodial cleaning experience in a lead role or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient verbal/written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • May require specialized training in Cleanroom, Electro Static Discharge (ESD), and other specialty service policies and procedures, as well as certification in specialized equipment.

Work Environment

Will vary considerably depending on the client's business, ranging from heavy industrial environments (aerospace, factories, refineries, etc.) to office complexes. Involves long periods of walking, standing, sitting, and lifting. Weather conditions may change based on geography and time of year. COVID-19 vaccination requirements may vary by client site.
