Full-time union position under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning duties in all assigned areas, ensuring housekeeping company’s standards are followed.
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
- Floor care including shampooing carpets and scrubbing/washing floors.
- Sort materials (glass, paper, plastics) into appropriate containers for recycling.
- Deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place on conveyor belts.
- Clean recycling yard by sweeping, raking, picking up debris, or moving barrels and bins.
- Vacuum rugs in bedrooms, offices, and public areas; spot clean and shampoo rugs as directed.
- Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
- Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
- Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior; spot clean interior walls daily.
- Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, including damp wiping surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing dispensers, and scrubbing floors.
- Report maintenance issues such as clogged urinals or outages to supervisors.
- Collect and dispose of building trash, recycling, and compost in designated areas.
- Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
- Perform periodic tasks: high dusting, cleaning stairs, kitchens, leather and wood surfaces, polishing, wall washing, and snow removal.
- Execute campus event setups (classrooms, conference rooms, common areas) following diagrams and specifications, including moving furniture.
- Operate custodial equipment such as auto scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums.
- Perform floor care projects including stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
- Support deep cleaning and special cleaning projects.
- Follow company policies, safety/sanitation procedures, and both oral and written instructions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cleaning and event setup experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills.
- Must pass a background check, including criminal history.

Pay
$28.75 per hour.
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Saturday, Sunday: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Days off: Thursday and Friday
