Responsibilities

• Picking up and removing hazardous articles from floors, furniture, and equipment, and placing them in designated receptacles or appropriate locations
• Moving furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning and care functions
• Using mops, brushes, detergents, buffers, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning implements to wash floors, corridors, stairs and stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows from the inside of the building
• Using manual and/or mechanical equipment to strip, vacuum, and wax floors and shampoo carpets
• Using hand-operated equipment and detergent to scrub and clean all areas of lavatories
• Using hand-dusting equipment to dust assigned areas

Requirements

There are no education or experience requirements. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position, and able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
