About the role

The Donkey Sanctuary is an international animal welfare organisation dedicated to improving the lives of donkeys worldwide. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety in various areas of the main sanctuary sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out effectively and promptly.
• Aid in providing a safe, responsive, and efficient cleaning service for all events and activities.
• Adhere to COSHH instructions when using appropriate cleaning materials for each task.
• Clean all public areas, offices, and toilets around the main sanctuary sites.
• Handle incidents and accidents promptly and effectively.
• Keep cleaning equipment in good condition and ensure it is properly maintained.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to implement and adhere to standards and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Full valid driving licence.

Qualifications

No specific qualifications are required for this role, but previous experience in cleaning and a positive attitude are essential.

Pay and Schedule

The position offers a salary of £9,914 per annum. The shift pattern is a two-week rolling schedule with the following shifts:

• Week 1: Off, Thursday 06:00 – 12:30, Friday 06:00 – 12:30, Saturday & Sunday Off
• Week 2: Off, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Friday 14:00 – 19:00, Saturday 11:30 – 19:00, Sunday 12:30 – 19:00
