About the Role

Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the shipyard, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Key duties include cleaning tanks, confined spaces, bilges, pressure washing components, and responding to landside spills. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and hygiene standards, as well as the ability to work in various weather conditions. Extensive walking, maneuvering steps, ladders, and climbing are necessary. A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the shipyard is essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Clean tanks, confined spaces, and bilges
• Pressure wash components
• Respond to landside spills
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shipyard
• Ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Work in various weather conditions
• Perform tasks requiring extensive walking, maneuvering steps, ladders, and climbing

Requirements

• Must be able to perform kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, stooping, and climbing on a daily basis
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
• Must be able to perform overhead work
• Must be clean shaven to wear a respirator
• Must be able to work outdoors, year-round, in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work at extreme heights
• Must be able to work in small, tight, confined spaces
• Must be able to work any shift to accommodate production needs
• Must be able to take measurements or be willing to learn

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $50,856.00 to $78,769.60. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
