About the role

Under the supervision of the building Principal and Head Custodian, responsible for performing cleaning and custodial duties to protect and preserve buildings, equipment, and furniture.

Schedule: 5.50 hours/day, 5 days/week, 260 days/year (3:00 PM - 8:00 PM).

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Work skills substantiated by training and/or relevant work experience. An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Collects, records, and maintains data accurately.
• Applies basic mathematical concepts correctly.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines/procedures.
• Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
• Reacts to interruptions and emerging priorities effectively.
• Demonstrates evidence of appropriate literacy and numeracy skills (e.g., reading comprehension, written/oral communication, mathematical reasoning/application).
• Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions and conduct.
• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Meets all mandated health screening requirements.

Pay

Starting salary: Step 1, $15.28/hour.
