About the role

Cleantec is Central New York's premier full-service janitorial and facility maintenance provider, with offices in Syracuse, Ithaca, Binghamton, Rochester, Buffalo, Utica, and Albany. As a Janitorial Worker, Commercial Cleaner, or Custodian, you can start immediately; no prior experience is required as we provide on‑the‑job training to ensure your success.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping: Keeping floors clean and presentable.
• Mopping: Making sure floors shine like new.
• Dusting: Removing dust and maintaining a tidy environment.
• Vacuuming: Ensuring carpets are spotless.
• Bathroom & Kitchen Cleaning: Keeping these areas in top condition.
• Trash & Recycling Management: Efficiently handling waste disposal.

Requirements

• Positive work history: a track record of reliability and dedication.
• Meticulous attention to detail: ability to spot even the tiniest speck of dust.
• Customer service skills: friendly and helpful attitude toward valued customers.
• Exceptional communication: effective verbal and written skills to keep everyone in the loop.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation for getting to and from work.
• Physical capability: ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pass a drug test and background check.

Pay

Hourly wage: starting at $16.00 per hour, ranging between $16.00 and $17.00 per hour depending on location and experience.
