Cleaner

Two permanent positions available: one for immediate commencement and a second commencing in November 2026.

About the role

Join the City of Newcastle (CN) as a Cleaner and play an important role in keeping our workplaces and community spaces clean, safe, and well-presented for staff and visitors. You will deliver high-quality cleaning services across a range of facilities, including administration buildings, libraries, and childcare centres. Working across multiple CN sites, you will carry out daily cleaning tasks, maintain workplace health and safety standards, and collaborate with team members to ensure facilities are maintained to a consistently high standard.

This hands-on role is suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, and has experience in commercial cleaning. Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks across various CN facilities
• Maintain workplace health and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high cleaning standards

Requirements

• Experience in commercial cleaning
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Right to live and work in Australia

Pay

$68,482.49 per annum + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation for a 38-hour week.
