Cleaner- 1st Shift

About the role

This position involves daily interior cleaning of the building and may include exterior cleaning and basic maintenance tasks as directed by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste receptacles and remove debris and trash
• Vacuum, shampoo, mop, and polish floors and carpets
• Dust and clean furniture
• Clean and restock restrooms
• Wash walls and clean windows and window coverings
• Place down mats/runners in inclement weather
• Clean up spills promptly
• Perform exterior building and premises cleaning, including parking lots, walkways, gardens, outdoor furnishings, pools, fountains, and exterior walls/windows
• Assist with minor maintenance and repair work, such as painting, replacing light bulbs/fixtures, moving furniture, repairing doors/gates, minor landscaping, and simple plumbing repairs
• Assist with gardening, lawn care, inventory control, supply ordering, snow removal, and tenant moves as needed
• Notify management of spills, emergency situations, repairs, safety issues, or other concerns promptly
• Safely use and operate cleaning equipment, tools, and chemical agents
• Follow established procedures and supervisor instructions
• Carry out additional duties as assigned based on building, facility, or client needs

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends in case of an emergency
• Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, and courteous
• Effective listener and team player
• Able to understand written or verbal instructions from a supervisor
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• High school diploma, GED, or trade/technical/vocational school education
• Some related experience and basic mechanical knowledge preferred

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required.

Pay

$13.60 - $16.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
