Clean Up

Full-time, on-site position at Gilchrist Forest Products, 1 Sawmill Road, Gilchrist, OR 97737, USA.

About the role

This is a fast-paced production facility that requires lifting, stacking, sorting, and bundling of wood products. Clean-up duties include sweeping sawdust, picking up debris, emptying garbage, etc. This is a labor-intensive, entry-level job; we will train the right candidate. The position may require working at heights and offers opportunities for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Sweep sawdust and pick up debris
• Empty garbage
• Lift, stack, sort, and bundle wood products
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Maintain excellent attendance
• Uphold a safe work environment without compromise
• Identify and correct problems immediately
• Communicate effectively with your team and other departments
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (includes testing for cannabis)
• Understand the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team
• Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things
