Clean Linen Technician

About the Role

Laundry Support Technician processes, sanitizes, and distributes facility linens while ensuring strict adherence to infection control policies. This role maintains a vital supply chain for patient safety and comfort by transporting clean and soiled linens from all areas of the hospital to the laundry department.

Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload heavy wheeled carts while maintaining compliance and sanitation standards.
• Restock carts with linens and supplies.
• Issue pillows as needed and document usage to track inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, write, and count; must be able to follow instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Current and valid Class C driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous laundry, dry cleaning, or hospital Environmental Service experience is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of all types of linens.
• General truck maintenance knowledge.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Pulling and pushing heavy carts.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Exposure to infectious diseases.
