Clean Energy Instruments Portfolio Lead, Sustainability

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and technical oversight for our clean electricity carbon reduction strategy, including procurement of energy instruments.
• Work cross-functionally to develop and drive the execution of clean energy and carbon reduction strategies in pursuit of Google’s sustainability commitments.
• Work with our technical teams to build the analytics, business intelligence, and tools necessary for tracking, forecasting, and reporting to support decisions and leadership reviews.
• Lead efforts with external experts and industry partners to drive progress on the broader ecosystem required for our program’s success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, business strategy, or corporate advisory with a focus on energy markets or grid infrastructure.
• Experience leading teams and groups of internal stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Technology, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in climate science, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) standards and accounting.
• Experience leading and executing complex and operational initiatives for large organizations.
• Proficient in analysis of large data sets and policy research to deliver insights and decisions.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling communications for cross-functional and executive leadership audiences.

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $188,000 - $274,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
