About the role

As a Retail Home Consultant with Clayton Homes, you will create a world-class home-buying experience by assisting customers to identify a floor plan, select options, and coordinate the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Clayton Ambassador, protecting the Clayton Homes brand and maintaining integrity throughout the sales process.
• Develop expertise in finance, mortgage concepts, product knowledge, sales acumen, presentation skills, and local market trends.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via the company’s CRM system.
• Assist in selecting inventory, decorating models, and maintaining the appearance of homes.
• Develop, refine, and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic.
• Present display homes, demonstrate features and benefits, and create added value for potential buyers.
• Set home center visits by converting ad calls, web leads, and utilizing the prospect database.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities, and company-sponsored functions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and assist with miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven business-to-consumer sales experience (preferred).
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work the required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes in all seasons.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Pay

$50,000 base salary plus a lucrative commission plan, offering unlimited career and earning potential.
