About the role

As a Retail Home Consultant with Clayton, you will create a world-class home-buying experience by guiding customers through selecting a floor plan, choosing options, and coordinating the construction process.

• Clayton Ambassador – protect the Clayton brand by maintaining a high level of integrity throughout the sales process.
• Constant Learner – develop expertise in finance and mortgage concepts, product knowledge, sales acumen, presentation skills, and your local market.
• Customer Follow-up – maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via the company’s CRM system.
• Merchandising – assist the manager by helping select inventory, decorate models, and maintain the appearance of the homes.
• Personal Prospecting – develop, refine, and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home-center traffic.
• Product Demonstration – present display homes, demonstrate features and benefits, and create added value for potential buyers.
• Set Appointments – convert ad calls and web leads into appointments and set home-center visits using the prospect database.
• Training – participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities, and other company-sponsored functions.
• Team Oriented – cooperate and collaborate with the team, willing to assist with miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven, business-to-consumer sales experience preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured-home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work the required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.).
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Compensation

$50,000 base salary plus a lucrative commission plan with unlimited career and earning potential.
