Classroom Teacher

Job Summary

The Classroom Teacher is responsible for creating a faith-filled, nurturing, and academically enriching classroom environment. This role supports the mission of Catholic education by fostering students’ spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social growth during this critical early elementary year.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction for in religion, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
• Integrate Catholic teachings, Gospel values, and prayer into daily lessons, routines, and classroom activities.
• Create a nurturing, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment that supports young learners’ academic and social development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs and abilities.
• Foster positive behavior, responsibility, and respect consistent with Catholic values.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction to support student growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and school activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student success and spiritual formation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field required.
• Valid teaching certification.
• P Practicing Catholic; must support and be committed to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
